When she was 11 months old, her parents left her with her Grandparents and never returned. Her Grandparents decided to go to Thailand from Myanmar to look for a better life and find work. They struggled to make enough money to take care of Pupis. Through the school, the grandparents found out about Faith House and decided that was the best place for Pupis. She arrived there when she was eight years old. At one point, her Grandparents wanted Pupis to go to Bangkok to work to make money for the family. This would have halted her education and destined her for a life of poverty and a great risk to be trafficked. Today, Pupis is in her third year at Chang Mai University getting a bachelor of Arts and Social Science degree. God has great plans for her life, and we can’t wait to see what they are.
Watch this short video from Pupis telling us about her life growing up in Faith House.
Bbright supports Faith House in their mission to provide shelter, food, clothing and an education for these young refugee girls. All while teaching them about the love of Jesus! Without Faith House, these young women would be at high risk for human trafficking so the work that Faith House does is extremely important. Join us today in giving them a brighter future!
